Facility Rules and Regulations

Persons desiring to utilize the Recreation Building, Rotary Pavilion/Davant Ball field, Broyhill Park, Annie Cannon Park, and/or the Ruritan Building must meet the following requirements and complete the attached Facility Use Agreement.

Facility Use Rules

1. The fees are non-refundable to use any or all of the facilities and the deposit will be returned within

four weeks of reservation date. Failure to meet contract agreement or follow any of the rules will

result in loss of deposit and use of the facility.

2. The total number of participants/guests may not exceed 100 persons at Annie Cannon Gardens or

Broyhill Park and Gazebo. The maximum capacity for the Recreation Building is 110 persons,

Rotary Picnic Pavilion 114 persons, and the Ruritan Building is 140 persons.

3. No vehicles are allowed beyond the parking areas of the parks at any time. Loading and unloading of

vehicles must take place in parking lots.

4. It is prohibited that any property be removed, rearranged or disturbed. This includes but is not

limited to benches, hanging or potted flowers, trashcans, tables, chairs etc.

5. It is prohibited to pester or feed wildlife in the pond at Broyhill Lake.

6. All trash from the contracted party must be removed. The contracted party is required to clean up all

debris and items left over from the function.

7. These facilities are located in a residential area—please keep noise to a reasonable level at all times.

8. Absolutely NO ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL DRUGS ALLOWED ON PARK/TOWN PROPERTY.

9. Broyhill and Annie Cannon Parks are public parks and it is therefore prohibited to block off any

portion of the park from the general public at any time during the event.

10. Please use rice, not birdseed, as birdseed tends to create a weed problem in Broyhill and Annie

Cannon Parks.

11. Receptions and serving of refreshments may not be served in Broyhill or Annie Cannon Park.

12. No carriage rides are allowed without prior approval from the Blowing Rock Police Department.

13. All posted park rules must be adhered to at all times by all members of party.

14. Responsibility of supervising all persons during the usage of the reserved facility will

be the renters and they will be held responsible for their guest’s actions.

Refund Policy

Cancellation Policy: Should the reservation be cancelled, the deposit will be returned with a percentage of the impact fee. The cancellation policy will be as follows:

Six months prior to scheduled date of reservation: 90% refund

Four months prior to scheduled date of reservation: 60% refund

Two months prior to scheduled date of reservation: 30% refund

Within two months of scheduled date of reservation: No refund
