Upcoming Valley Boulevard Construction Impacts

Beginning Monday August 24, NCDOT will be closing Main Street at its intersection with Valley Boulevard on the southern end (near the Blowing Rock Furniture Gallery - formerly the Broyhill Furniture Building). Detours will be posted accordingly and are expected to be in place approximately 28 days to allow installation of storm water infrastructure and other related improvements. American Legion Renovation Complete

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on June 8, 2015 . The Town would like to acknowledge community support from the following: The American Legion Post 256, Greene Construction, Inc, David Patrick Moses Architect, Inc, McGill Associates, State of NC Parks & Recreation Trust Fund, Blowing Rock Alcohol Beverage Control Board, Blowing Rock Historical Society, Albert Yount, Citizens of Blowing Rock, Current and Former Council Members, and Blowing Rock Public Works. This facility is now open to the public. The Town of Blowing Rock has a permanent year-round population of approximately 1,425 and is situated along US Highways 321 and 221, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Blowing Rock, known as "the Crown of the Blue Ridge", is a very special place to live, work, and play. We are the only full service community on the Blue Ridge Parkway and are centrally located to many High Country attractions.
